Bonfire Night Boat Cruise Post Upadte

We are pleased to say our Bonfire Night cruise concluded successfully on Sunday 5th November 2017, with a full turnout and a lot of fun and good cheer on board the twin decked Golden Jubilee.

We flagged off from the Westminster Pier just after 6 pm after checking in all guests and going through necessary security procedures. The children and young families took to the lower deck which had the little ones enthralled by a kid’s entertainer and magician, while many adults and couples made their way to the top deck which hosted the DJ, dance floor, bar and open viewing deck.

It didn’t take any time for our very sportive and enthusiastic audience to hit the dance floor, some within minutes after we set sailing ! The level of participation and interaction was great among the groups, making it such a nice vibe and a lot more fun !

The clear skies and dry weather was a great bonus, allowing some very scenic “London by Night” views along the cruise and a timely stopover for the fireworks display viewing around 8pm. The attendees enjoyed the stunning fireworks display which lasted nearly 15 minutes, drawing a lot of cheering and applause!

As with most of our events, a sumptuous buffet (vegetarian & non-vegetarian) dinner spread was on offer at the lower deck, awaiting our patrons after the fireworks viewing. As always, our partner Sri Rathiga did an excellent job with the spread to everyone’s delight and also deftly managing the challenges and complexities of logistics and arrangements for catering on a cruise. Our sincere thanks to JK and the entire team at Sri Rathiga !!

The DJ and dance floor continued well after dinner and all the way till we got back to our starting point at Westminster Pier around 9:45 pm. A sportive audience and a great facilitator in DJ Cogs had the dance floor packed at most times and rocking away to a combination of Bollywood and regional hits on demand. Our thanks to DJ Cogs and DeejayDee Music (www.facebook.com/deejaydeemusic) for keeping the evening lively and energetic.

As with many of our events there were raffles and prize giveaways, this time a special raffle prize from our partner PT Wealth Management.

We are very pleased to deliver yet another successful, full house event and our apologies once again to those we could not accommodate owing to boat capacity restrictions.

Such events have been made possible due to our tight cost management, our non-commercial and community focus and most importantly all our strategic partners. As a community, we wish to place on record our thanks and gratitude through this communication for their ongoing partnership and support.
