Last weekend we hosted our first event of the year, the much awaited Narrate with Neeya Naana Gopinath. The topic for the event was “is India or overseas the ideal place to follow one’s culture”.
Thanks to your timely arrivals, we began as planned just after 6:30 pm, after invocation songs by students of Mrs Srividhya Balaji and Mrs. Nithya Sowmy. The event was introduced and presented by Mrs. Revathy Mahadevan, who also captained the preps for nearly 3-4 months, including pulling together a team of over 25 participants - from start till the event day !
As typical to the event, we had 2 brilliant teams with a lot of enthusiasm, passion and energy, and adding magic to this was the amazing facilitation by Gopinath. His excellent language command and his knowledge and grasp on various topics came through as he navigated the discussion in a very informative and entertaining manner. His moderation style ensured there was never a dull moment in the nearly 3 hours of event for both participants and audience - with his timely interjections, clarifications and course corrections - in an equal dose of humour and content !!
We are truly grateful to Shri Gopinath Chandran for giving us this memory, at our doorstep here in the U.K. It was a treat to watch the discussion gradually come to life and build to a crescendo in his own inimitable style. Both ardent fans and newbies to the event format were in awe of his facilitation skills and could now appreciate even more his long spell in Tamil television of 15 years and counting !
We also enjoyed our friendly interactions with him off stage, with equally great conversations, discussions and laughter. As we bid farewell to him on Sunday morning, we surely had built another lasting relationship and friend for life !
The event wrapped up around 9:30 pm with our felicitation for Mr. Gopinath by Shaji Jose of Lifeline Protect - our sponsor and partner from Day 1. Shaji also conducted his customary raffle and had some exciting prizes given away by Gopinath and Sudhir Cheedella of Shri Bheema’s Indian Restaurant.
What followed was another hour of post event socialising among the participants and audiences over dinner. We are very thankful to Shree Bheema’s Indian Restaurant and True South for their event partnership and providing for dinner and hot beverages respectively at the venue to help with the social networking pre and post event. We are also very grateful to our other event partners - HDFC Limited, Credent Property Advisory, Bename, Sringaram & Eagles. Without such committed and passionate partners, such occasions and memorable events would just not be feasible to achieve. We are also thankful to the management and staff at Watersmeet Theatre, for an excellent venue and arrangements.
We also wish to place on record our thanks, gratitude and congratulations to our very own local stars who adorned the stage and gave us this memorable event along with Mr. Gopinath. We wish to introduce the participants alongside the teams they represented:

We are also pleased to share with all our patrons 2 further events coming up later this year, which we also unveiled at the weekend event. Please make note of these events to block your dates and watch this space as we announce tickets and open booking plans.
